Back in Those Younger Days

The books say that when you’re young, you shouldn’t meet someone who will amaze you for a lifetime. That way, everyone who comes along afterward won’t seem quite so ordinary.

But for Mo Zitong, meeting Gu Yan when she was young was one of the luckiest things that ever happened to her. His presence lit up her otherwise uneventful school days and left a deep mark on her youth. After he left, every deskmate she met seemed to pale in comparison.

When they parted that year, he never spoke the feelings he had for her aloud. Only later did she realize that the boy had once fallen for her. Years passed, yet she still looked back on the past.
