I’m a little carp who was saved by an immortal. Later, the immortal kept me in his courtyard, and five hundred years passed in the blink of an eye. One day, the immortal suddenly felt a pang in his heart. He made a divination and realized that his romantic tribulation had arrived.
To avoid his romantic tribulation, the immortal went to the Thousand Buddha Sect and became a lay disciple. He took me along when he left. After being bathed in the sound of Buddhist chants, I accidentally ate a petal of the Nine-Clear Earthly Splendor Lotus, and so I took human form at the Thousand Buddha Sect. Since I had no demonic power, only Buddhist power, I became a little Buddhist cultivator there.
“Little Carp, don’t be naughty. You need a quiet heart to meditate and seek enlightenment!” the immortal reminded me.
“But Immortal, the mountains here are full of monks, and it’s so boring. I want to go down the mountain and have a look.”
“Those who cultivate must put aside distracting thoughts and focus on their practice.”
One day, a young monk came to deliver a report.
“Venerable Moli, the carp you keep sneaked down the mountain and still hasn’t returned.”
“Let her be. Once a fish grows up, it won’t listen to its owner!”
But the little carp who had secretly sneaked down the mountain was caught by several monsters. They were going to gut her and cook her for dinner!
“Waaah... Immortal, come save me! I’ll never sneak out to play again. The monsters down the mountain are so scary!”
At this critical moment, the immortal descended like a god and saved her once again. She promised again and again that she would never go down the mountain and would devote herself to cultivation.
The corner of a certain venerable’s mouth lifted slightly. Maybe now she’ll stop pestering me every day to go down the mountain and play. The tricks my master used on me work just as well on a fish!
The plot is very fresh. Basically there is no bloody plot and the writing is quite good. Just not many people watch it.
