Hong Kong Film Universe: Starting as an Exorcist Cop

Hong Kong in the 1980s was undoubtedly one of the most prosperous places in Asia.

But who could have guessed that beneath all this prosperity lay chaos and complication?

Gods and Buddhas coexist with demons and monsters.

Onmyoji from Fusang, and curse practitioners from Siam.

The Qin Emperor’s corpse from the Shan Kingdom, and powerful Yin-Yang Corpses.

The vengeful spirits of Japanese pirates who took their own lives, and the mighty Zhong Kui who marries off his younger sister.

The invulnerable Child-Smashing technique, and a special task force equipped with cutting-edge technology.

Ancient mages who transmigrated through time, and supernatural abilities that can do anything.

The Yin-Yang Road winds with ghosts and spirits, while the Haunted Mansion is home to all manner of demons.

The boundary between life and death has been broken, and the divide between humans and ghosts has vanished.

This is a city of monsters, and a paradise for the uncanny.

As you walk down a sunlit street, how can you be sure that every creature you see is one of your own kind?
