An Illustrated Study of the Warring States' Borders and Territories

During the Warring States period, the territories of the various states were intricately interwoven and frequently expanded or contracted. Until now, no detailed annotated map had adequately depicted the various states of that era. This book systematically compiles information on Warring States geography from historical texts such as Strategies of the Warring States. Using 333 BCE as its point of reference, it reconstructs the precise boundaries of the various states at that time, filling the gap left by the lack of clear, reliable historical maps suitable as a starting point for historical geography research. The first part amends the names and locations of places from the Warring States period in The Historical Atlas of China. The second part examines in detail the territories of the various states in 333 BCE, chapter by chapter, and presents them in maps. The research throughout is thorough and meticulous, giving the book considerable academic value.
