As an introductory book on sociology, it is quite good. Most of the examples and metaphors are very interesting. Although it is based on American society, it is not outdated when I read it now, and I can understand the author's connotation. However, some passages are still quite boring, and I can't help but glance at them. Overall, you can learn something after reading it. The book briefly explains the views of Durkheim, Cooley and other sociologists, which is helpful for preliminary learning of sociology.
This book is really good! It tells the development of sociology in an easy-to-understand way, and also mentions many interesting examples. I particularly enjoyed the parts of the book about social roles and social interactions, which gave me a deeper understanding of myself and those around me. Moreover, the author's writing style is also very good and it reads smoothly. Recommended to friends who are interested in sociology!
The content is deep and the ideas are broad. It explains things in a simple way, with rich and vivid examples, making it easier for readers to understand obscure sociological concepts. It is very helpful to improve social awareness. Recommended reading!
