After Becoming a Bandit Chief, I Joined Forces with the Officials

[Both leads have only ever been with each other] [Officials and bandits] [Plot] [Mystery-solving]!!

Main pairing: a formerly bubbly, now roguish female bandit chief VS a calm, scheming official (not really)

One day, Wu Yubai transmigrates and becomes the chief of Fengyun Stronghold.

After being broke for so many years, she thinks she can finally laze around and enjoy herself.

Then she’s bluntly told that Fengyun Stronghold is a penniless hole of a place. They’ve been using her as collateral to borrow money from other people just to keep it afloat!

How outrageous!

So she goes down the mountain to earn money for her carefree life, and by chance runs into the new magistrate in disguise. By another stroke of luck, she “forcibly drags” him back to the stronghold.

The magistrate looks utterly panicked on the outside but is as steady as an old dog on the inside

That’s right!

This is all part of my plan!

In reality

Things have long since gone completely off plan…

Later, he comes to suppress the bandits, only to be subdued by the female bandit chief. Facing the person in bed, he says, “My dear, I was wrong.”

A voice comes from beneath the covers

“Get lost!”
