A fair and lovely maiden, to delight her with bells and drums;
Yaos are born in defiance of heaven and earth’s natural order. Some are born with supernatural abilities and spells, as well as extraordinary beauty. Others rely on the blessing of Taoist or Buddhist teachings and tend to have ordinary, well-balanced appearances. Yet with the right opportunity, any of them can become immortal. Or they may devour one another, consume human blood and essence, and take other people’s faces, making themselves abominations in the eyes of heaven and earth;
After a thousand years of tribulation in love, a broken Jue becomes a Jue. The Jueyao seeks not immortality, but the chance to find the obsession she once held dear in this mortal world;
