The Production of Landscape: Ten Years of Tourism Development in a Southwest Tunpu Village

Accompanying the troops stationed in the Ming Dynasty, a group of Han immigrants came to a corner of Anshun, Guizhou, southwest China. They settled in this multi-ethnic area known as Kongdao in Central Guizhou. They built villages according to local conditions, memorized and passed on the traditions of the Han people, and formed a special cultural landscape in the course of more than 600 years of history. They eventually received the group name of "Tunpu people".
