War of Resistance: From the Start, I'm the Team's Wild Card

After graduating from college, Zhang Xuebei started working and spent the next ten years at it. He drifted through those years in a daze. Ten years earlier, things had been one way, and ten years later, they were still the same. All he had gained was a few more years and a little more experience.

One day, on his way home from work, Zhang Xuebei was suddenly struck by a beam of light. His entire body vaporized in an instant, and he vanished from this world. Meanwhile, in a parallel space, a beam of light struck a boy who was also named Zhang Xuebei. Perhaps its energy had run out by then: after shattering the boy’s soul, the middle-aged Zhang Xuebei who followed it entered his body. And so the story begins.
