Three Years in the Cold Palace: I Only Want to Get Out

A must-read before you begin: I originally planned to write this novel as a deeply tragic story with no happy ending. But the characters I've written don't seem to have any tragic side to them. They give me the feeling that they love one another and depend on one another. How could I put them through that? I've read many heartbreaking novels, but for some reason, I just can't write that kind of story for the characters I've created. It's strange, and I can't quite explain it. Anyway, now that I've brought these characters to life, I will give them an ending. I won't just leave things like this.

For now, the plan is to tell the story of the male and female leads going through all kinds of trials before finally ending up together. The supporting characters in my story aren't just there to help the leads along. They have their own storylines, though for various reasons they'll cross paths with the main characters. That's all for now.

Welcome, dear readers, to enjoy my second novel. If there's anything you don't like, keep it to yourself. If you really can't hold back, please choose your words carefully and go easy on me. I'm fragile and can barely take a hit. I'll hide under the covers and cry.

Also, my first novel was published under another pen name on another platform. I deleted that pen name, and I don't even know if the work is still mine. It's a bit of a shame, since I'd already written fifty thousand words. Oh dear, I've talked too much. That's it for my rambling.
