My grandfather spent half his life tending the orchard, bringing joy to countless people. Though he remained unknown, he lived a humble, steady life. Yet on the day he passed away, hardly anyone came to mourn him.
The few photographs I have left disappeared with him. Now, whenever I happen to think of my grandfather, all that remains in my heart is an overwhelming sense of longing.
