The Moment I Resigned, the Emperor Wiped Out My Entire Clan

[Two male leads] One-on-one, both are pure, extra sweet (entirely fictional, don't overthink it) Lin Jian is a fine, upstanding young man of the modern era. He steps outside and gets run over by a car ʕ(ⓛ–ⓛ)ʔ Then he is reborn in a parallel world with a completely different history and level of technological development. Of course, he doesn't know whether he transmigrated or was reborn without drinking Meng Po's soup, because he still has all his memories from his previous life, for crying out loud! There is nothing he can do, so Lin Jian settles down and grows up in this world. But can someone explain why he transmigrates again after simply falling asleep in class? This time, he knows it was transmigration because he wakes up as a teenager. Could it be because he didn't show proper respect to his teacher by sleeping in class? Being a teenager is one thing, and being in ancient times is another, but why did he have to end up in the era of a tyrant? And he's a court official, too. Serving beside the emperor is like sleeping beside a tiger! No way, he needs to resign! .. Xuan Ye suddenly realizes he can hear the little official's thoughts. Watching him act all respectful while mentally trying every possible way to resign, Xuan Ye thinks, Huh. This could be fun. Lin Jian: “Your Majesty, I have recently felt exhausted, suffered from insomnia and vivid dreams, and had headaches and night sweats. I fear I may be gravely ill, so I humbly beg Your Majesty to let me resign and return home to recuperate.” He hears fanfare in his thoughts, celebrating his success. Xuan Ye: “If you wish to resign, my dear subject, I suppose it can be done. But according to the law, an official who resigns must have his entire clan executed.” Lin Jian: “What? What? What? Your Majesty, I don't think... that law exists, does it?” Xuan Ye (smiling): “Then starting today, we'll establish a special law just for you.”
