Floating Dog

This is a book I picked up at Xinhua Bookstore when I was a kid. Every character is three-dimensional and distinct. When I was a kid, I thought I wanted to be a little love with excellent grades. But when I grow up, I admire Ge Er's courage to pursue her dreams. I feel really disappointed every time I read it.

I read this book many times when I was a child, and when I read it again more than ten years later, I still clearly remember the descriptions of various scenes in Wutongyuan, as if I had grown up with them in it. Although it is a story about a group of children and written from a child's perspective, it is shrouded in a layer of pathos and melancholy, from Gou'er's life experience to the darkness and limitations of that era, life, old age, illness and death, and things going against expectations... Gou'er's almost fanatical persistence and pursuit of dreams deeply touched me. I like this character very much, and fortunately she had a pretty good ending.

The children in this book are so cute! They all have different personalities. Xiao Ai's intelligence, Fang Mingliang's erudition, and the dog's tenacity all left a deep impression on me. It makes me feel the happiness and innocence of children, and also reminds me of my own childhood. This is a heart-warming book, I recommend you read it.

Fortunately, the dog's ending is good. As a child, I was really afraid that she would become a white-eyed wolf in the future.
