This novel is set in Nuanshuitun by the Sanggan River. It truly and vividly reflects the sharp and complex class struggle in rural areas during the land reform. It shows the different mental states of each class and allows readers to see that Chinese farmers have embarked on a bright road under the leadership of the Communist Party.
