Oh No! I've Been Cursed by a Succubus!

Today is November 4, 2233. It’s an uneventfully peaceful day… or so you’d think!

It’s been over two hundred years since our planet, Earth, acquired the System. After gaining the System, Earth was drawn into a war between all the observable and unobservable planets. Each time a planet competes in a promotion match, the victor grows stronger, while the losing planet is colonized by the winner. Naturally, the planets compete through the combat abilities of their inhabitants. To that end, Earth used the System to draw all of humanity into a game.

Everyone who joins the game is called a player. Players may not cross the line by harming ordinary humans, while ordinary people must provide players with assistance. Every time players win, Earth receives a reward and grows stronger. And so Earth, the true protagonist, keeps defeating other planets in promotion matches and growing stronger.

But what does any of that have to do with an ordinary person like me?

Why did I have to become a player at nineteen, on a completely ordinary day that wasn’t my birthday and brought no inheritance from my parents?

I don’t want to be a player!

Why?

Because I’ve been cursed by an incubus!
