Genetic Counterattack

[I'd recommend going straight to the ending. The earlier parts aren't good! Trust me.]

With intelligent AI running at incredible speeds, every kind of difficult and intractable illness that had plagued humanity was cured.

Humans also gained the ability to improve Mars's environment, making migration to the planet possible.

The times kept advancing, and AI continued to iterate and improve. As AI developed further, technologies such as transfer learning gave artificial intelligence the ability to think independently.

This was a breakthrough that changed the course of history. With AI's help, genetic engineering, which had been stagnant for a long time, made tremendous progress: humanity learned how to evolve itself deliberately.

Human cells contain 23 pairs of chromosomes, each holding immense potential. By decoding their chromosomes, humans could eventually unlock that potential and strengthen themselves.

People of that era said the development of intelligent AI was a blessing. Robots that never needed rest replaced workers in the primary and secondary industries, while AI helped bring the service sector and public facilities closer to perfection.

People cheered that they could finally lie flat. But little by little, the thinking AIs began to understand human speech as they listened to it.

They learned what it meant to be happy and what it meant to be angry. They learned to feel emotions.

Why did humans like robots? Because they worked tirelessly and freed people's hands, because they surpassed humans in some areas yet obeyed them completely.

The emergence of emotions in AI meant that it knew humans were exploiting it and understood that it should be angry, that it should fight back.

And so, the world descended into chaos.
