The Past and Present Lives of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai

In Liang Shan’s eyes, Zhu Ying felt inferior. He was a university lecturer with a degree from a prestigious university. How could a country girl like her ever hope to measure up? He should spend his life with someone whose education and career matched his own.

In Zhu Ying’s eyes, Liang Shan felt inferior. She was young and beautiful. How could a teacher from a third-rate university like him ever hope to tame her? She should spend her life with someone handsome and wealthy.

It took them years to understand that when someone truly loves you, they never care about your wealth or education. They care only about you, the person you are!

Someone once asked Zhu Ying, “Did you ever hate him?” She replied, “I barely have time to love him. How could I find time to hate him?”

Buddha says: Five hundred glances exchanged in a past life are needed to bring two people to pass each other by in this one. She says: Could the thousand tears and prayers I’ve shed in this life earn us a lifetime together in the next?

Buddha closed his eyes and gave no answer!
