Mistake After Mistake, All Ending in Regret

The current emperor's third son, Prince Beian, falls in love with Yuan Jinghe, the legitimate eldest daughter of the Duke of Yuanguo's household, and is willing to give up his princely title for her. Meanwhile, Yuan Jinghe's half-sister, Yuan Jingrao, falls in love with the prince at first sight and joins forces with the cruel, tyrannical crown prince to separate them. The crown prince falsely accuses Prince Beian of patricide and forces Yuan Jinghe to kill her beloved.

Yuan Jinghe devises a plan to protect Prince Beian, but he misunderstands her. From then on, Prince Beian travels far to the northwest with Yuan Jingrao at his side. After enduring humiliation, he builds up his own mercenary force and returns to the capital to avenge the wrongs done to him.

Yuan Jinghe waits for him for three agonizing years, never imagining that the man who returns will not be a hero who saves her from misery, but a devil who sends her to hell.
