“At first, no one cared about the disaster. It was just a minor accident, a delay in a work assignment, the breaking of a family, and a new name in microbiology.”
In 2041, as humanity's exploitation of resources continued, more and more mines were built. But a mining accident released an ancient virus. Since the virus died quickly when exposed to oxygen, no one paid it much attention. Then, in a laboratory somewhere in the United States, researchers accidentally released the virus, but they still didn't take it seriously. Unexpectedly, the ancient virus merged with a strain of influenza and mutated, eventually becoming a supervirus with numerous Hosts.
Later, a researcher's protective suit was punctured when a test tube shattered. The rest of the tragedy speaks for itself.
“This is more than just a simple plague...”
“Manage your resources wisely and protect yourself. Don't get sick... Nowadays, even a minor illness could become irreversible.”
“Those things are stronger than we are, and they're always hungry...”
