Stars in the Daylight

[Gentle little bunny x aloof, godlike top student]

[Secret crush comes true + sweet romance + both leads’ first love]

Life is long, yet it passes in the blink of an eye. Some people see dust, some see stars, and some vanish in an instant. The ground is strewn with sixpences, but she looked up and saw the moon., Sixpence and the Moon

Jin Xingyuan: The best thing I ever did was always sit behind you. From our reckless youth until everything settled, whenever I looked back, I was always there behind you.

Shen Muci: I thought I liked the way your shirt fluttered in the wind, and your lemon-scented shirt. I never imagined that the innocent feelings of youth were actually such a surging, overwhelming love.

The bravest things Shen Muci ever did were loving Jin Xingyuan and continuing to love him, always. Even when he was down in the gutter, he still looked up at the stars. In his biology textbook was a letter with no words, just one line on the cover: “You are my daylight star.”

Another was gritting his teeth and secretly getting into Ronghai University for graduate school, so he could go where Jin Xingyuan was.

The morning light came through the heavy curtains. How wonderful, at last I can turn around and hold you. This time, let me be the one who protects you for the rest of our lives.

“Why are you sneaking kisses from me, hmm?” His brows lifted ever so slightly, his eyes as brilliant as a river of stars.

“I wasn’t sneaking. I kissed you openly.” The other person turned away, blushing.

Turning around, I held tight to the greatest dream of my life, one that would never shatter.

“My little rose, I love you.”
