Wu Zixu was a minister of the state of Wu during the Spring and Autumn period. His given name was Yuan, and Zixu was his courtesy name. He was fiercely loyal, resolute, wise, and courageous throughout his life, and his tragic end is deeply affecting. After King Ping of Chu had his entire family killed, Wu Zixu fled Chu alone. He passed through Zhaoguan in such anguish that his hair turned white, and later begged for food by playing the flute in the streets of Wu... His story perfectly portrays the different stages of his personal growth. It was only after Wu Zixu matured and joined the state of Wu that Wu became a hegemon among the feudal lords.
Following the course of Wu Zixu's life, the book depicts many historical figures and recounts the struggles for power, battles, and rivalries among the states of the Spring and Autumn period. These include “Zhuan Zhu Assassinates King Liao,” “Yao Li Assassinates Qing Ji,” “Sun Wu Drills His Troops,” “Gan Jiang and Mo Ye Forge Their Swords,” and “Sleeping on Brushwood and Tasting Gall.” The story is vivid and full of twists, with a touch of legend. Readers can savor its insights into life while also gaining a glimpse of the people and culture of the era.

History reminds people that there are more books like this. Recommended good books. I hope more people will read them.
Wu Zixu's life was full of twists and turns. His originally happy family was torn apart due to the frame-up of treacherous ministers. A life of turmoil and escape began. With great difficulty, he found a place to live in the state of Wu and helped King Wu dominate the Central Plains. However, in the end, a treacherous minister had to commit suicide. But one thing about him is that as a father, he changed his child's surname to Gongsun, hoping that the child would not live in hatred like him. He did a great job!
This book is wonderful! Wu Zixu's life is truly legendary. He experienced so many hardships, but still pursued his goals firmly. I especially like the part in the book where he and the prince hunt together. I feel that he is not only wise and courageous, but also very calm. Moreover, there are many stories about other historical figures in the book, such as Zhuan Zhu assassinating Wang Liao, Yao Li assassinating Qing Ji, etc., Which are all very exciting. I recommend you read this book too!
It's super nice. This book is the most impatient one I've ever read. I didn't rush to finish it. Wu Zixu's wisdom is shown in it to be no different from ordinary people.
It's so beautiful, and it's so clearly described in my heart.
I like to read biographies, cherish the past and cherish the present, and watch heroes emerge from generation to generation. I am very lucky to live in today's peaceful era.
The historical figures told in a true and objective manner, the ancients with flesh and blood, are vividly written on the paper. 👍👍👍👍👍
I have wanted to read this book for a long time, but I didn't expect to listen to it in full on Tomato Novels.
Wu Zixu is both respectable and hateful
