[Apocalypse + Cooking + System + Zombies]
Zheng Meisi, a student in the Western Cuisine class of the second-year cohort at a local culinary school, is unexpectedly caught in a car accident. But she never expected her life to end there. When she wakes up again, she finds a horde of zombies glaring at her hungrily.
Just as danger is at its peak, a voice claiming to be an Apocalypse Assistance System appears in time, possessing her and telling her that eliminating the zombies and saving the world is simple: cook dark cuisine, then feed it to the zombies.
And so Zheng Meisi embarks on a journey to develop and cook dark cuisine: raw beef heart pie, fermented rotten crab and stinky shrimp, cement sausages. In short, the more hellish, the better.
As she goes on to save the world with dark cuisine, Zheng Meisi nearly gets reborn several times because of her own cooking. Yet little by little, she comes to appreciate the unique experience of being a dark cuisine chef.
