Across the vast universe, brilliant stars fill the Milky Way, while a full moon hangs high in the heavens, breathtakingly beautiful. The moon’s journey from half to full, through its waxing and waning, is as wondrous as each of us among the countless people of this vast world. What joys and sorrows, what partings and reunions, have unfolded amid the everyday bustle of human life?

Some say life is a journey, and everything we encounter along the way is a sight to behold. We may meet countless passersby and be unable to decide whether any one of them stays or goes, but we can choose who walks beside us for a part of the way. The moon shines over the world, and lights glow in every home. In the peaceful silence of the early morning, something touched me in an instant. As I used to do as a child, I looked up at the night sky and found not a single star. To my surprise, it made me feel that the moon is a person’s whole life.

All right, that was a bit too fanciful, wasn’t it? I suppose inspiration comes from life. Someone asked me what kind of drink 719 is. 719 is a drink, and it is also the finest drink in the world. In truth, it’s simply my birthday. The meaning of those three numbers changed because a group of fascinating souls came together to keep one another warm. That is why it is a refuge for all of us, not just one person. When will the bright moon appear? I raise my cup and ask the blue sky. I wonder what year it is tonight in the palaces above.
