At 26, Su Xiyue divorces her husband and meets Xu Yi, the boy she was engaged to as a child.
Xu Yi had ended his own unhappy marriage three years earlier. Now he has met Su Xiyue again, and the two marry. It feels as though they have found each other too late.
But after they marry, Xu Yi's ex-wife shows up, leaving Su Xiyue feeling insecure and straining their relationship. In the end, however, they stay together and build a simple, happy married life.
