The heroine comes from a family of physicians. In pursuit of greater medical expertise and the chance to examine more bodies, she conceives the idea of becoming a coroner at the Court of Justice. Though coroners and physicians complement one another, their work differs considerably.
The hero is a junior minister at the Court of Justice and the son of the Imperial Preceptor. He is of noble birth, ranked first among the young aristocrats of the capital and at the top of its beauty rankings. Yet his terrible reputation makes him the man the capital's women are least willing to marry.
The story is set in the Song Dynasty, when women enjoyed a relatively leisurely life. Drinking tea, admiring flowers, and going on spring outings were all popular pastimes.
But the Emperor's health is failing, and forces across the realm are stirring beneath the surface. Who will ultimately ascend the throne? And who is pulling the strings from behind the scenes?

The author's mother, the male protagonist, and the heroine's mother-in-law, do everything for the heroine and say that the heroine is already super happy and super lucky. She keeps saying it, and has said it many times, it's just ordinary things. I don't know what the author thinks, but I really think so to make up the word count.
