Civilization Collapses, but I Survive Against All Odds

[Female-led story + flight from famine + inheriting a base + infrastructure building + founding a nation and creating a modern civilization]

The male lead is little more than a background character and won’t appear until much later.

A career-focused story with a strong female lead.

Tang Wan was planning to get married when she was unexpectedly chosen as one of the survivors. A thousand years later, she wakes to find that the world she knew has changed beyond recognition.

From the start, she has no money or food, just one set of clothes and a group of teammates whose faces have turned green from eating wild greens. They have to find a place where they can survive.

The group flees hunger and hardship, getting robbed, cheated, and deceived along the way. They find people to join their team and set to work building infrastructure.

They open shops, reclaim wasteland, and mine. They build factories, schools, and high-rises.

They found a nation, raise an army, build artillery, and modernize everything, bringing about a complete liberation.

[A light group transmigration; the story mainly follows the protagonist’s perspective.]

The pacing is on the slow side, giving you a chance to see the protagonist grow. Ordinary people take on the burden of great things, progressing one step at a time.
