Gu Yuan transmigrates into the eldest legitimate daughter of the Grand Princess of Great Zhou and Lord Gu. The unruly and willful young lady is infatuated with the young general Lu Huai. To protect herself, she takes a daring gamble with the help of her ideal man, Lu Zhun, and quickly marries Lu Huai. From then on, she begins a life of loving and fighting with the young tyrant Lu.
When asked to choose between Lu Zhun and Lu Huai, Gu Yuan parts her red lips and says without hesitation, “I choose Lu Zhun…”
Before she can finish, the young general Lu has already gone mad. He points his sword at Gu Yuan, his face icy. “Gu Yuan, you truly have no heart. So from beginning to end, I was always just a little short of him!” Huai and Zhun differ by only a little, after all!
Seeing Lu Huai suddenly turn his sword on himself, Gu Yuan hurriedly finishes her sentence: “I choose Lu Zhun to die!”
