This textbook is one of the "14th Five-Year Plan" textbooks for higher education in the traditional Chinese medicine industry across the country. It is the most commonly used surgical textbook among traditional Chinese medicine colleges across the country and is highly praised and welcomed by teachers and students. Teaching practice has proved that this textbook is an excellent textbook suitable for traditional Chinese medicine colleges and has the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine. This revision is based on the previous edition of the "Surgery" textbook, based on the teaching practice of traditional Chinese medicine colleges, adhering to the principle of integrating theory with practice, implementing the requirements of the Party Central Committee to incorporate ideological and political content, and highlighting the original thinking of traditional Chinese medicine. In order to ensure the coherence, inheritance and systematization of the teaching materials, based on the format and structure of the previous version of the teaching materials, some chapters were streamlined, added and modified according to the teaching material evaluation report. At the same time, the new progress, new technologies, and new methods of surgery are introduced.
