[A carefree, clearheaded rookie ✖️ a lovesick, secretly smitten villainous big shot]
Metaphysics + comedy + past and present lives
Jiang Moning is a page at the Matchmaker’s Red Luan Pavilion, under the famous Matchmaker’s command.
It would be bad enough to have such a low-ranking job,
but the Matchmaker even kicked her down to the mortal world to curry favor with his superiors.
Still, thanks to the talent she got for free,
she’s managed to make a modest success of herself in the mortal realm by reading people’s romantic fate.
Her principle is simple: give a hand to true matches, cut off doomed ones at the root.
Make enemies? Sorry, she runs faster than anyone.
Do a good deed? Of course. She allows herself a moment of pride.
Then a bizarre nightmare completely upended her routine.
What do the grudges from her previous life have to do with her now?
She’s given up trying, but that doesn’t stop her rivals from coming right to her doorstep to cause trouble.
Fine. Her abilities have awakened, so she’ll take down anyone who shows up!
And there’s a handsome big shot hiding inside the jade pendant she wears for protection?!
Great. Now she has even more reason to strut around fearlessly!
Don’t ask. He spoils her, that’s all.
But this handsome guy seems frighteningly obsessive…
