Our protagonist, Lin, has been locked in a laboratory nutrient pod for five years. Now, an accidental short circuit in a generator forcibly awakens him.
During his escape, he meets the gel beast Pro. The two support each other along the way.
Just as they are about to escape the laboratory, K, its only surviving researcher, stops them. Suspecting that Lin may be a virus carrier, K tells him the truth to prevent that possibility from becoming reality: the last group of humans is still outside the laboratory, and K wants Lin to stay so he won’t carry the virus out.
After discussing it, Lin agrees to let K inject him with a beast-transformation drug to modify and treat him.
Once the treatment is complete, Lin and Pro finally step outside the laboratory to face the world beyond.
But, to their surprise, when they pass through the laboratory doors, they find themselves transported to a new world…
