Synopsis

[Early story: Republican-era martial arts; later story: fantasy] A slow-paced tale where every stage is a battle of wits and will.

In times of chaos, there are no Buddhas; in times of peace, there is no Dao. A Taoist descends the mountain to seek the Dao, but to question the Dao is to question the heart, and to question the heart is to attain the Dao. Across this vast land, warlords carve up the country, Japanese invaders run rampant, and the people suffer amid famine and death. In the face of it all, where will the impassioned young Zhang Yang go from here?

Xianxia and Jianghu Like Sword Snow Stride, No Power Fantasy, No System

I don't want stories where everyone except the male lead has no intelligence. I've read too many of those goofy novels, and they're bad for your brain.
