It all began with an escape that seemed like a beautiful dream.
Mageli wanted to stay true to herself and flee the fate of being controlled by darkness. She dressed her escape up as a fairy tale: traveling abroad for the sake of her family’s honor to meet a father she had never known.
But her father was murdered before they could meet, and the truth behind the case was steeped in dark humor.
The death of her beloved godmother is shrouded in mystery, while her cousin, separated from her by the sea, repeatedly sends assassins after her for the family fortune.
This is a battle of blood and fire.
Trapped in a fate ruled by sin and punishment, Mageli has no choice in the matter. What will she do?
