This is a hodgepodge of wild ideas dressed up as fantasy.
Against a backdrop of so-called gods and humans, it spins all kinds of absurd imaginings.
Since this is my first novel, I made the protagonist a character much like Dugu Qiubai. He's absurdly overpowered, completely busted.
Strength and weakness are all relative. As the protagonist grows, most of the time he looks down on his opponents. I've also given him the luckiest path to power, with opponents and opportunities arriving at exactly the right moments. You could say his greatness is heaven-sent.
The first volume uses a few brief chapters to introduce Xue Jiu's story before his reincarnation. Its setting borrows from the Ottoman Empire's early system of succession: "Whichever of my sons inherits the Sultan's throne, for the sake of order, must put his brothers to death. Sultans in future generations must follow this rule."
In this world, where everything runs counter to traditional ideals, Xue Jiu's family in his previous life gains power. But where does family affection fit in?
Read on to see how the protagonist descends to the mortal world and becomes Xue Jiu in his next life...
