Chinese Classical Furniture

Furniture art emerged as a new field of study amid the development of various forms of culture and art in the 1980s. It is a product of the development of Chinese culture and art. Today, we study, draw on, and summarize the valuable legacy left to us by our predecessors in order to carry on and develop the furniture art of the Chinese nation, learn from historical experience, and serve the development of modern furniture. This is both an important mission entrusted to us by history and an excellent subject for sharing knowledge of our country's history and culture and providing patriotic education.

Focusing primarily on the development, types, styles, structures, and decoration of Chinese classical furniture, this book also interweaves discussions of how to identify furniture from the Ming and Qing dynasties, along with tips on collecting and investing. It helps readers clearly understand the stylistic characteristics of classical furniture from different periods and quickly find the appropriate appraisal methods to determine their collecting and investment strategies.
