The Kindaichi Case Files 02: The Honjin Murders

Okayama Prefecture, the countryside, the start of winter.

The Ichiyanagi family, descendants of a once-prestigious samurai estate now in decline, is celebrating: the family head, Kenzo, has married a young bride. But on their wedding night, terrifying music from a koto rings out, and Kenzo and his wife are found dead in their room. The room is sealed, and the killer has vanished without a trace. Three fingerprints at the scene offer a clue to the locked-room mystery: several witnesses claim a suspicious three-fingered man was seen near the Ichiyanagi home.

While everyone is baffled by the killer's method and whereabouts, Kosuke Kindaichi, who was invited to the house, seems to have something else on his mind. Just then, the koto music and the fingerprints once again shatter the night's silence, and the case takes a shocking turn...
