"The Book Thief" is a representative novel by the famous Australian writer Marcus Susak. It tells the story of how a lonely little girl relied on the power of reading to get through a difficult period in her life.
During World War II, nine-year-old German girl Liesel and her brother were sent to foster homes. Unfortunately, my brother died of illness on the train. On the wasteland where her brother was buried, Liesel picked up a book "The Gravedigger's Manual" that was of great significance to her.

I think she is like Hermione in Harry Potter, smart and brave. This book reminded me of The Diary of Anne Frank, both stories about wartime. I like the adoptive father in the book, he is very warm, just like my father. I hope there will be no more wars in the world and everyone can read as carefree as I do.

The book presents the story of the book thief in front of us from a unique perspective. I always like the vivid descriptions in the book, which allow me to see every living person.
