What if everything was unique?
What if everything points to one place in the end?
The traffic jam that lasted for many days on the highway forced the stranded car owners to enter another normal life; the photographer accidentally took a photo in the park, and the printed photo was continuously enlarged, and what the naked eye saw was destroyed one by one by the shocking details in the photo; in the arena of the ancient Roman province and modern Paris, two love triangles unfolded simultaneously and intertwined, and then disappeared in the same fire...
In Cortázar's works, reality and fantasy are intertwined, and the order of time and space is like a kaleidoscope full of changes, with strange, mysterious, and absurd connections. Every encounter with Cortázar is a hearty ride, a gorgeous and free adventure.
This volume contains three short story collections: "The Secret Weapon", "The Story of Cronopio and Fama" and "All Fires Return to One", each of which is a masterpiece handed down from generation to generation.

This book is like a kaleidoscope, and every story is full of strangeness, mystery and absurdity. Reading is like being on a gorgeous and free adventure. It reminded me of the countless possibilities hidden in those casual moments in life. As the book says, "What if everything is unique?" We often ignore the details in life, but this book allows us to re-examine these ordinary moments. I like the story on the highway in the book. I feel like I am trapped on the highway of life and don't know where the exit is. However, maybe like the people in the story, all we need is to look at the world from a different angle to discover different beauty.
