With a Childhood Friend This Great, Who Needs a Sudden New Love?

Synopsis: [Childhood Sweethearts] + [Sweet Romance] + [Movie Star]

People say a childhood sweetheart can’t compete with someone who appears out of nowhere. Yu Man’er thinks that must mean their childhood sweethearts weren’t good enough. Why would anyone want some newcomer when you have a childhood sweetheart as wonderful as hers?

Yu Man’er’s nickname is Manman. Perhaps because of her name, she has always been slower than other people at everything. Other children were walking at ten months, but at thirteen months she still couldn’t walk, or even stand steadily. At kindergarten snack time, the other children would scramble up and run to the teacher to get their treats. By the time she caught on, they’d already eaten everything…

Fortunately, her parents found her a wonderful childhood sweetheart. They’d known each other since they were in the womb. Their due dates were the same, but he arrived right on time while she was a week late, so naturally he became her big brother and always looked after her. When she was thirteen months old and couldn’t stand steadily, her childhood sweetheart, who could barely walk himself, would stand beside her so she could hold on to him. When she couldn’t beat the other children to the snacks at kindergarten, he would simply grab two portions and hand them to her…

With her childhood sweetheart taking care of her, Yu Man’er completely “gave up trying.” But as time went on, there was one thing she learned much faster than he did: love. Ever since she visited him on set at fifteen, Yu Man’er had been certain that her childhood sweetheart was “hers for the taking,” and nobody would ever steal him away!
