A Strange Plot in Journey to the West: The Bizarre Adventures of a Hundred-Eyed Insect Cultivator

A student working hard to pass his exams has an unexpected accident, and his consciousness ends up in the ancient world. The presence of all sorts of mighty immortals and the legendary pilgrimage plan makes it clear that this is a Journey to the West setting. What’s more, he isn’t the only outsider in this world, and it seems that other plots are quietly unfolding between different worlds... (The protagonist is a villain, not a saintly do-gooder, though he’s not exactly ruthless either. There’s also some mildly graphic content, so feel free to skip this if that’s not your thing.)
