Blurb One:
To outsiders, she’s a gentle senior, an academic star who excels in both character and studies. In private, she’s an expert at smoking, drinking, and hanging out in internet cafes.
“Kick her out.”
Xiao Wan’s fingers twitched. It was her first time playing a shooter, and right after the match began, she took out two players in a row, both of them the same teammate.
“Hey, don’t...” someone nearby tried to smooth things over. “They know each other. Cut her some slack.”
She sneaked a glance toward the dim corner. That person sat with eyes closed and head tilted back. When he lowered it, he cast her a brief, cool, piercing look.
A bar in a foreign country.
Xiao Wan laughed as she said goodbye to her friends, then left the booth alone. When she came out of the restroom, her legs gave way and she started to fall.
Luckily, someone behind her reacted quickly, caught her, and led her toward the corridor.
“Is this how you came here to study?”
He stood close. His gaze was cold, and so was his smile.
Xiao Wan’s lashes trembled. She saw him lean down and bite gently at the corner of her lips.
Only after a long moment did he look up. He wiped away her tears and said softly, “I’m sorry.”
Then his shadow drew closer, completely covering her face.
“I just remembered something. I don’t think you’ve ever called me ‘senior.’”
Chen Shu leaned against the sofa, pinned the other person’s hands behind their back, and pulled them into his arms. In a tone that easily invited all kinds of speculation, he asked, “Why should I call you that?”
His lips brushed her earlobe, his breath falling against her neck. “Hmm? Big sister?”
Blurb Two:
He was once the secret I kept hidden in my heart for years.
She was once the forever I could never reach.
