With only fragments to guide her in uncovering the truth, Sun Xuanxi accidentally discovers that she is the reincarnation of an ancient great being. Together with her companion Zhou Jian, she cultivates, seeks divine weapons, subdues ferocious beasts, and stands up for the weak.

After bidding farewell to Zhou Jian, Sun Xuanxi channels all her cultivation, unleashing astonishing spiritual energy as she flies toward the imperial palace at full speed.

Half an hour later, Sun Xuanxi appears above a palace. Soldiers stand ready along its walls.

Seeing the soldiers’ banner bearing the character for “fire,” and the palace’s magnificent splendor, Sun Xuanxi knows this must be the Fire Emperor’s palace.

“Where is the Fire Emperor?” Sun Xuanxi channels her spiritual energy and shouts.

At that moment, in the Fire Emperor’s palace, Gao You is reporting on the battle and recounting the national preceptor’s death to the Fire Emperor when he hears someone call out the Fire Emperor by name. Soldiers rush in with the news, and everyone leaves the palace to stand atop the city walls.

“Your Majesty, this is the person who killed the national preceptor!” Gao You hurriedly tells the Fire Emperor.

The Fire Emperor stands at the pinnacle of power in the Fire Nation, commands a million troops, and has the Weapon Hall, one of the Seven Great Sects, backing him. He is also a member of the Weapon Hall, making him half a cultivator.

“Fellow cultivator, why did you kill my national preceptor?” The Fire Emperor stands atop the wall, his face stern.

“Hand Miss Yu over, or I’ll slaughter your entire nation for her!” Sun Xuanxi’s voice booms, shaking the entire palace as if the earth itself were trembling.
