“Where is this place?” Tang Fan looked around at the unfamiliar palace. “Wasn’t I reading in the library?”
The hall was packed with skeletons, some human-shaped and others belonging to creatures he couldn’t identify. They stood in neat rows with their backs to him. Their pale bones gleamed brightly, sending a chill down his spine.
In the middle stood a massive throne. Beside it was a gigantic skeleton, its body glowing green. It wore a crown and carried an enormous greatsword. Behind the throne lay the skeleton of a giant dragon, or rather, a skeletal dragon. Blue flames burned in its eyes, ice covered the ground beneath its feet, and ice crystals drifted around it. This was a skeletal Frost Dragon!
All of them turned their gaze on Tang Fan, welcoming their king to the throne. Step by step, he walked toward it, like an emperor returning to the mortal world to rule all beneath the heavens! (P.S. A new author’s debut novel.)
