Xiao Xuan takes her younger sister’s place and marries Fu Tingyuan, a disabled and disfigured man. Everyone thinks Xiao Xuan is doomed, never realizing that his entire family will dote on her as their most precious treasure.
The spoiled younger sister sneers, “Xiao Xuan, you ugly freak. If I were you, I’d just die.”
But Xiao Xuan soon becomes the goddess of Binhai City, with men falling over themselves to pursue her. Her success leaves her younger sister red-faced and humiliated.
The younger brother-in-law is stunned: “I can’t believe my goddess is my sister-in-law!”
The younger sister-in-law is stunned: “I can’t believe my sister-in-law is the traditional medicine master Night Charm, whom I’ve always admired!”
One secret identity after another is revealed, but Xiao Xuan remains calm. “You’re shocked already? Just imagine if you knew I also had another identity…”
Everyone gasps when they hear it. From then on, a saying spreads through Binhai: You’d best not cross Xiao Xuan, even if you’re willing to cross Fu Tingyuan…
