A temple shrouded in swirling clouds stood before them. A row of crimson-gold pillars rose before its entrance, carved with peculiar inscriptions and indecipherable symbols. Dozens of pillars supported a towering, milky-white statue. Its vague outline suggested a human figure, and hundreds of pairs of wings spread across its back. Yet the front of the statue was blank, utterly featureless, leaving all who beheld it to wonder.
