A cat came down from the mountains and borrowed an old woman's body to roam the human world, where she chanced upon someone. An old man? ... A monk? Or...?
The first time they met, she scratched his hand, her eyes full of warning. The next time, beneath his slight restraint, she felt completely safe and wanted to stay by his side every moment. Then one day, when the cat could take human form, she discovered something even more interesting: the man seemed to have countless secrets for her to uncover.
Far away among the mountains and forests, the two walked hand in hand.
The woman asked, “You still haven't told me what you really are.”
“The Buddha says it cannot be spoken!” He paused, then added, “Come home with me, and I'll tell you.”
“Sounds good!”
