Communist Wang Zhen instigated an uprising by local warlord troops. At the critical moment, he was influenced by the party's guiding ideology of simultaneous victory in one or several provinces and waited for instructions.
During this period, five counter-encirclement and suppression campaigns in the Central Soviet Area failed. During the Long March, the party lost contact with Wang Zhen. Wang Zhen, both on and off the line, died and disappeared.
