Two female leads
Qing Yuanxi spent twenty years drifting through life, never knowing why she was alive, simply living for the sake of it.
She heard that the marriage tree at a certain temple was very powerful, so she hung a red ribbon on it, wishing for death. Whether as punishment or because the tree really worked, she was struck by lightning as soon as she left the temple.
When Qing Yuanxi awoke again, she was in a spiritual state and had been bound to a System like the one in the quick transmigration novels she often read. It claimed to be a knight System that sought a princess to protect, earning the title "Guardian of the Fair Maiden." Wasn't that just a modern bodyguard?
"C-can't you find someone else? I'm not up to it." Qing Yuanxi was just an ordinary person who was a little socially anxious, a useless layabout who lived for food and waited to die. The thought of dealing with lots of people made her sick.
"Once we're bound, there's nothing I can do unless you complete the missions. Our compatibility is very high, and I'll help you, so don't be afraid." The System had waited so many years and had finally found a match. It couldn't possibly let her go, so it had no choice but to trick her. It didn't want to wait any longer.
"All right, I agree." What was bound to happen would happen sooner or later. Qing Yuanxi always took things as they came and didn't worry too much. There was nothing she could do anyway, so she might as well accept the bond and deal with the future when it came.
And so Qing Yuanxi set off for one unknown small world after another, not knowing whether fate would bring her good fortune or misfortune.
(The princess is just a term of endearment, not a title. As in, "You are the princess in my heart.")
I swear on my life that I will devote everything to you, my princess.
You are my princess. I would be your knight, the blade in your hand, and protect you for all eternity.
