⊙ The scriptures reached the Eastern Lands. With Wukong and the others’ help, the Great Tang entered a golden age, and the Three Realms enjoyed long-awaited peace. Alas, it did not last!
Ten thousand years later, the Demon Buddha rules the world, the Three Realms descend into chaos, the gods rebel, and the Buddha falls!
Sun Wukong must shoulder the fate of all living beings and set out once more on the journey west!

A spirit root springs from the rock, my heart grows with the sun and moon. My body is like black iron, my heart like a bright mirror, untouched by dust!
My fiery eyes blaze with righteous fury, my Golden Cudgel strikes the altar of the plague gods.
Cultivate with good intentions and attain the right fruition; let my fame as the Equal of Heaven be passed down forever as a Saint.
What does Heaven’s punishment matter? What does being Equal to Heaven matter? What does a proud and unyielding spirit matter?
In my past life, I was ignorant. In this one, I will break free of cultivation’s shackles and protect all living beings in this world, forever!
