Cold Heart Syndrome: Xi Ziyou

“The Cold-Hearted Case of Xizi You” tells the story of Xizi, a psychologist who makes a medical error during a treatment session, worsening her patient Qingzi’s condition and triggering an episode of her own cold-hearted disorder. To find a cure for herself, she has no choice but to embark on a journey of helping others and herself. The story begins as Xizi sets out for Planet E to seek a way to save herself.

This book isn’t philosophy, but it introduces a new psychological concept: cold-hearted disorder. It isn’t a novel, but it contains several short stories. It isn’t a travelogue, but it’s always on the road. It isn’t a motivational pep talk, but it is poisonous. It contains some keen insights and draws on certain principles. Through these short stories, it aims to remind readers that life is about more than romance: family and friendship deserve to be cherished, too.
