A Rendezvous in the City of Demons

None of the stories has anything to do with the case,

yet the case that unfolds in the end is intricately linked to them all.

Amid the tangled twists and turns of love and relationships,

the angel and the devil in everyone’s heart wage a fierce battle.

Will the angel lead you to soar free, or will the devil send you wandering aimlessly?

In the world of officialdom, where every word must be carefully measured,

every official must weigh the heart and mind against the tongue.

Will you use your heart and mind to tell a good story, or let your tongue run wild for a moment’s advantage?

In the world of business, where one careless move can lose the whole game,

every merchant must carefully weigh each piece against the whole board.

Will you hold your pieces and advance step by step, or keep your eyes on the board and win with one final move?

Life is more complete for its imperfections...

How does a corrupt official bring his life to an abrupt end at its peak?

How can a miser spend a lifetime guarding his wealth, only to lose it all?

Why does someone who cherishes love seek a woman with whom he can lay his soul to rest?

Demon City

A fantastical city where the worlds of love, officialdom, and business are tangled together, and human emotions and desires intertwine.
